The Hunt for Fun Team Building Ends HereOur team loves working with clients again and again, wherever their meetings take them! Which is why last month when a client asked if we could accommodate a change of location a month out from their meeting date, we were happy to oblige. Our client, who wanted to make their meeting more sustainable by reducing their carbon footprint (and long travel hauls for their mostly European group) decided to move their meeting from California to France; so our Chief Experience Officer, Lisa got to dust off her French in Paris! Lisa led the group through an Amazing Chase that took teams around the sights of Paris including the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, and Notre Dame. It's no mystery that hunts continue to be popular team building activities worldwide. Which is why this month we’re sharing another team builder that combines a hunt with just that - a mystery! Clued InYour group will be transformed into detectives during this scavenger hunt style activity that has teams testing their crime solving skills. The event begins with teams learning that Main Street’s police department received an anonymous phone call. The caller identified that they were a witness to a crime but are not willing to report it outright. Instead, they’ve submitted a list of suspects, crimes, and locations for your group of detectives to pare down, in the hopes that they’ll crack the case. During their investigation, teams visit a variety of locations marked on a map within a custom game app. When they arrive to each of these locations, they’re tasked with completing a variety of police work. This includes solving clues by decrypting codes left at the crime scene, re-creating crime scene photos, practicing their interrogation skills, identifying the murder mystery movie from the image shown, and more! As teams complete tasks throughout Clued In, they will receive the name of a suspect, crime, or location to eliminate from their list. Eventually, only one of each remains and teams receive a promotion – in the form of points – for correctly identifying who did it, with what and where! The team scoring the most points by completing tasks and solving the crime make a killing themselves - collecting their reward for their detective skills! But, everyone will die of laughter after participating in this fun activity. Crack the CodeCreate your own hunt at your workplace with a custom cipher. On Monday, announce that there will be a special code that needs to be cracked throughout the week, and that everyone should be on the lookout around the premises for hints. Then, over the course of one week, post different parts of the cipher around the office in heavily trafficked areas such an entrance or breakroom (or send it out via email for remote employees) so that your team can snap photos of thepieces of the cipher key. On Friday, post the coded message with instructions for what participants should do once they solve it.. Designate an email address for your team to send entries to and enter all correct replies into a raffle drawing. When the time comes to announce the winner, be sure email everyone who participated to thank them for participating in Crack the Code. Don’t forget to reveal the correct answer for those who might not have solved it correctly. Prize examples for the winner include a jig-saw puzzle, company swag, or a gift card to a local escape room. |
